"Brass Animal" Incense - Handmade in Columbus, OH

Heather McCloud founded The Brass Hand after leaving a corporate career to create the kind of shop she wished existed: one inspired by the colors, plants, and slower pace of the American Southwest. Based in Columbus, Ohio, she curates a thoughtful mix of independent makers, vintage finds, and goods that encourage everyday rituals, all with the goal of making the shop feel like "a little slice of the desert."

Heather also created Brass Earth, her in-house line of incense inspired by memories of Arizona and the calming rituals of home. Whether she's designing a fragrance or selecting products for the shop, her work is rooted in creating spaces that feel warm, restorative, and full of intention.

Burning incense is one of my favorite ways to shift the mood of a room. It turns ordinary moments like making coffee, cleaning, or settling in with a book into something that feels a little more intentional.
