Art critic Jerry Saltz once described printmaker Rachel Kroh's work as having "radical sincerity," and you can feel that in every card she designs. From the hand-carved block print illustrations to the wholehearted messages inside, Rachel has a remarkable way of helping people say the things that matter most.

Heartell began after Rachel struggled to find the kind of warm, meaningful cards she wanted to send her mother during cancer treatment. Today it's grown from a solo printmaking practice into a seven-person, women-led studio in Fort Wayne, Indiana, printing on antique presses and recycled paper. I really admire what Rachel has built, and I'm proud to feature their work.
