"Toadstool Serenade" Frog & Mushroom Craft DIY Embroidery Kit

Stitches by Tiff is the embroidery brand of Tiffany “Tiff” Tzeng, a Bay Area–based artist who taught herself to embroider in 2018. Tiff designs, assembles, and ships her products herself, and also teaches workshops to pass along the traditions of needlework to new generations of stitchers.

Helping behind the scenes is Ben, Tiff’s partner, who shows up at markets, handles setup, and wrangles Taro: the 40 percent chihuahua, 20 percent pit bull pup who unofficially runs the booth and loves a good chin scratch.

I love embroidery kits because they remove the decision fatigue. The colors are chosen, the stitches are mapped out, and you can just sit down and stitch. It’s a different kind of creativity than starting from scratch, which can be such a relief!

Tiff’s designs feel playful, but the structure is solid. You’re learning, while also making something you’ll actually want to hang up!--Gigi
