Tobacco Quilt 11"x14" Print by Stoughton-Raised Artist Chandler Hougan

Chandler Hougan grew up in Stoughton and now lives in Milwaukee. She's a graphic designer and illustrator making logos, posters, murals, and more, in addition to her own line of beautifully illustrated prints and stickers. When she's not creating, she can be found watching a Jane Austen movie, biking, or selling her art at a local artist market.

Did you know that Stoughton was the center of tobacco production for southern Wisconsin in the 1800s? Growing and processing tobacco was once a major industry here, and the legend of the Stoughton coffee break is set during tobacco harvest season. This print by Stoughton-raised artist Chandler Hougan is a fun way to commemorate our town's history.
